I wrote my first line of HTML in 2016. Now it’s 2026 — almost 2027. In all that time, I never made a real website.

That’s not entirely true. I do this professionally now. But I tried to make a blog 6 times before this, and it always went like this:

  1. Got the impulse.
  2. Spent a few days making it, getting it deployed and everything.
  3. Claimed “I’ll write a post for this one day.”
  4. Months went by… the site gathered dust.
  5. A year went by… “I don’t like it anymore… I’ll rewrite it… just one more time…”

That’s probably my biggest flaw. Getting 80% of the way there, not following through, and then wanting to start over…

So this time, I’m starting with the post. The thing that’s tormented me for a decade.

I don’t care what the site looks like. I don’t care if integrates with the GitHub API. I don’t care if it’s dull.

It just needs to work. It just needs to be good enough for me to not toil in this cycle anymore.

We’ll see if this is that site…
